Success has been on the side of the women’s soccer team this side, winning more game this year than this point last season, but that success slipped away in Saturday’s game against conference foe Defiance.

The Grizzlies lost 3-0, moving their record to 8-6 overall and 2-3 in HCAC play.

After this loss, Franklin will have to win all their games in conference play in order to make the HCAC tournament.

The Grizzlies travel to Rose-Hulman on Tuesday to take on the Engineers at 7 p.m.

Rose-Hulman has allowed one goal this season, showing Franklin that the game will present a challenge,

“It will be a hard game,” junior Kayla Dragstrem said. “We have been mentally preparing for them for the past two days, and our mentality is the same as it has been all year; ‘hard work wins.’”
