The twelfth-ranked Grizzlies emerged victoriously in the battle for the conference title in Saturday afternoon’s game against Rose-Hulman.

Franklin came out on top after beating the Engineers 64-14.

With the win, the Grizzlies look to take care of business in the last three weeks of the season and punch an automatic bid into the playoffs.

In their usual fashion, seniors Jonny West and Kyle Linville connected for a touchdown within the first three minutes of the game

Linville added another touchdown in second half , finishing with a total of 16 receptions for 200 yards.

The crisp October afternoon proved to be ideal conditions for West and his offensive machine, as he connected for 39 of 53 passes for 473 yards and five touchdowns.

Junior running back Joey Pasquale had two touchdowns for the day and rushed for a total of 53 yards.

The offense even surpassed team expectation for the game.

“We all felt like we were going to win the game,” junior Jake David said. “But, we didn’t quite expect to score 64 points.”

Franklin looks to improve its run with victory on Saturday as it hosts Defiance for senior day. Kick off is set for 1:30 p.m.
